The City of Santa Barbara’s Planning Division, in collaboration with AIA Santa Barbara, is seeking input on the Single Family Design Board (SFDB) design review process. This initiative is part of the City's effort to streamline and simplify the land development permitting for single family homeowners.

Survey Goals

The purpose of this survey is to hear from applicants and homeowners about SFDB design review, and considerations for how to improve the process. This survey is both for "frequent flyer" SFDB customers as well as infrequent or one-time permit seekers.

Staff will analyze survey results and make recommendations to Council's Land Development Team Oversight Subcommittee. Recommendations could include both code amendments and suggestions for internal process changes.
